I am the snow queen. Anyone who knows me knows that I spend ¾ of the year waiting for snow season. HOWEVER, I must finally admit that after dealing with what seems like a hundred feet of snow in the past two or three months, I am maybe, kinda ready for a little break. That’s right, I want the snow to melt, and I WANT SPRING. In fact, I am getting quite desperate for it. I think I have forgotten what the sun looks and feels like. The beginning of March brings some hope, but I remember winters past when the snow managed to sneak back in as late as April. I guess I can’t get too excited yet. To keep my spirits up I’ve decided to track the small signs of coming spring, and today’s sign: it was the first day in longer than I can remember when it was warm enough to leave the scarf, hat, and gloves at home. That’s right, JUST A COAT! It was a very happy thing...

For those of you wanting to help spread the word about the 146 Poems of Love project, here’s a link to a downloadable flyer:

I’ve also posted it on the 146Poems page. If you want to let others know about the project, make some copies and put them on telephone poles, in your college writing/arts department, in your favorite coffee shop, or hand them out to your friends.
And THANK YOU to all of you who have been submitting! Each submission feels like a gift. I feel so blessed to be able to read and view so many wonderful pieces.
Check out Empire Builder , a site that has been kind enough to join in spreading the word about this project. It's got some great stuff for people who love poetry...
