It has been awhile…
Enjoying the beauty of NYC in the fall…the cooler weather is here to stay. Green leaves are slowly shifting into yellows, oranges, and reds. There are pumpkins…everywhere. And Christmas music has begun to find its way onto my playlists…
I am also missing my little brother.
The thing I love about Ty is that when he decides he wants to do something, he does it. He began telling people when he was five that he would move to Africa one day to help the people there.
And a couple weeks ago he left for Liberia to help build a school for a very poor community. It was a beautiful thing watching him make his dream come to life over the last several months, finally doing what he believes he was always meant to do.
It is a brave and scary thing. But there is no feeling quite like accomplishing something you have wanted more than anything else. It is inspiring.
He began a blog about the adventure though he has very limited internet access so it isn’t updated too often.
He is also currently working with a different project than his site says, so if you’d like to get more news or would like to donate, contact me (not the organization listed on the blog) and I will put you on his mailing list and/or give you the correct info for donations…
